Anyone find that Firefox nullifies affiliate links?

Just curious b/c I just had a case where a friend used Firefox to sign up to Absolute via my link, but for whatever reason didn't show up in my report...my affil mgr said that it may have been because he uses the Firefox browser, which according to her sometimes does funny things with cookies/tracking links.

She didn't sound too convincing, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had similar problems...

when I signed up for absolute, I was told to use IE because of that same reason.
I used IE, it worked.
