You have my sympathy, this happens to me at least once a day. Unless of course I check the river and then inevitably, the villian has nothing in which case I lose 1 bet. Here's tonight's fiasco (villian is played by a guy who plays everything and who had nailed my AKs earlier with his A3o)

I see no problem with your play. I wouldn't fold to a river check-raise and I can't imagine not betting the river. More times than not villan will just call the river with K-10/9-10 and you made another BB by betting the river. Looks like this time his flush got there.
