I don't know if I got 39; I certainly am not confident in my answer. The hint for 37 is to follow the dots; they move left to right in a certain pattern. Ignore the squares; their pattern is obvious.

Is 140 the maximum? I wasn't sure if I had solved 39 or not; the rest I was sure of.

They also demand an entry IQ (based on their tests) of 150 (not the 140 that is implied by the photo above).

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry to say this but you are wrong here, but not totally wrong. First the foto did not implied that you need to get above 140. It implied that you need to get over 130. He got 140 that is why there was a ring at 140. To get into mensa then you need to have a IQ in the topp 2%. With sd 15 as this test was in, that mean you need to get 132 or 131. Do not remember for sure. But if you count in another SD then you get diffrent scores. I am preaty sure there is some SD that mean that you need to get a score above 148. Do not remembe which one. It might be that one you have heard about....

Yes it is with another SD. With SD 15 you need to get 131 or 132 (not sure)...

Mensa requires a score of 135 on a recognized IQ test or certain scores on tests such as the SAT or MAT.

I think the ease of making money playing poker is greatly overstated. It is not as easy as many people make it out to be. to somehow say that making thousands per week is "easy" is asinine.

It's 131 (132?) or 98th percentile (top 2%) with SD=15. 135 is the 99th percentile.

slingo's right. mensa requires a score in the top 2% for the given test. although IQ tests are supposed to have a mean of 100 and adhere to a perfect bell, they don't. hence different # requirements for different tests. SAT's are no longer used.

the mensa in the twin cities has a bimonthly 25c-50c poker game--they call it an exploration of "statistical variation probability and stochastic processes" or something. it's headed up by richard lederer, howard and annie's father.
definitely tougher than your avg 25c-50c game, but probably not minus ev for any decent player here.
