1) seems standard
2) I'd sandbag some more, probably by raising to 450.

1) I would have raised a touch less (to like 250) preflop and then gone for a checkraise on that absolutely gorgeous flop.

2) I raise less on the turn.

My 2 cents

Hand 1 - attempt a check raise (all in) on the flop.

Hand 2 - flat call the turn, if he has another pop on the river then raise. If he checks to you then make a half pot sized bet.

No real issue with the KK hand, although you might not want to push in on the off chance he hit trips. A nice pot size bet should be enough.

On the second hand you should have smooth called one more time, or maybe put in a minimum raise. If he's on a pure bluff, any raise will knock him out of the hand.

Let him take one more stab at this one on the river, and then come over the top.

Play well,

CCC

1. on the first hand i wouldnt push in. there is nothing he could have that worries you or would call a bet here so I would make a smaller bet.

2. this is OK, i would probably do the same. but keep in mind that every once in a while you will be called here and will be out because no one can call that doesnt beat you. compare this situation to where you have one 8 on the board and two in the pocket in which case you will often be called by players you beat.

Don't know...would depend on the player...I'm just saying that the pot-sized bet should be enough to make a lousy hand fold, without getting nabbed by trips. If he reraises, you have a decision to make, if he calls your all-in with trips, your decision is gone...

Play well,

CCC
