Default good push?

Hey All,
I figured this was a good place to race a 50/50, with all the extra money in the pot. Do you like this push?

I would have considered pushing the first time it got to me. The way it played out, pushing is ok I guess, but expect him to call fairly often.

That is a poor limp, and and even poorer push. You don't have the pot odds, position, or stack to be limping with a small pair for set value and when you push here you're a coinflip AT BEST, and often behind. Call and fold to any bet if you don't make a set.

i think i fold preflop but pushing isnt too bad i dont think. But limping is pretty bad like they said.

I used to push these spots, but now I fold them. You have a little more than 12BB right now- but in a few hands you're going to have less than 6BB. You're going to need those extra chips... I fold here but pushing the first time it gets to you *MIGHT* be ok? I'd like to hear some more opinions..

The odds are fine, although I do agree with you that his position is less than desireable to get away with this play.

First, now that I've thought about it, I should have pushed first.
I don't think a 50/50 in this spot is a bad thing at all.
I only have 12 bb, and in a couple of hands, it's going to be 6bb like you said. Pushing first, I'm "hoping" for a call from 2 overcards.
