Re: Is $5-$10 even worth playing?
If you do datamining, you can find fishy tables based on players in your database.

Re: Is $5-$10 even worth playing?
Let me explain...
Recent hand- UTG +1 played K4 off-he called a raise and a re raise only to flop trip 4s. this is not unsual at $5-$10, and yes I know, all of the odds in the long run, but 4 hands like that and I am down $200 in 20 min w/ AA AK QK JJ |

You are displaying a fundamental misunderstanding of what makes a good game, what makes a good opponent, where the money comes from in poker, etc. The fact that you responded seriously and in the manner you did to SeaEagle's post about finding "good" tables is actually the best post in this thread, and one of the better posts I've seen on 2+2 in some time. |

And here I am being an idiot and still playing a mixture of $2/$4 and $3/$6. Time to move up. |

Re: Is $5-$10 even worth playing?
I was looking for some support, and opinions, that's all. I do realize the long run and good games. I was just looking for other thoughts. That's all

That's all [/ QUOTE ] these are all lies. you dont understand the long run or good games, that is VERY obvious from this post. i have been making soooooooo much money in the past couple weeks off of horrendous players at 3-6/5-10. i dont know why people have such a difficult time against terrible players. they play terrible, thats the point, they just give me money all session. if i lose a bad beat to them ill probably be getting it back 3 hands later. whining about loose calls is the antithesis to understanding poker even slightly. learn to love the swings <3 rj |

Re: Is $5-$10 even worth playing?
The problem with players who claim they can't beat calling stations is that they do not value bet enough.
You don't need top pair to value bet against someone who calls down with 3rd pair or hopes for an ace or gutshot. |
