Winning, but feeling like a fish
In the past 6 months I've made a switch from being primarily a 2/4 limit ring game player to primarily multi-tabling the 20s and 30s at Party. I have found that for me these games are more profitable and there is less overall variance. One problem I have with my play in these tourneys is the amount of times I wind up sucking out late in these tournaments. This is due to hyper-aggressive play once the blinds get big, trying to run over weaker players and the inevitable fact that I wind up getting called by big hands sometimes. I guess I just want to make sure that some other winning players are going through the same things.

Re: Winning, but feeling like a fish
i am living what you speak of, one difference...I LOVE IT!!
After years of playing 3/6 and 4/8 limit hold-em and getting sucked out on left and right i relish my turn to three out people on a daily basis. oh and you are playing right so don't make any changes. suckouts are good. Andre |

Re: Winning, but feeling like a fish
Most of the chips I win at showdown are suckouts. I push with J2, they call with AQ, I win. This is profitable for me, since I push with J2 the last 4 times and they folded their BB of 300 each time.
Don't worry if when most of the time you are a dog when all the chips are in if you are stealing enough chips to make up for it. |

Re: Winning, but feeling like a fish
HU the other day I pushed with 83o vs. a folder. He had AA and I made a boat. Two tournies later I had J6s - same scenario, another boat.
Both felt good. |

Oh, yes, and it makes me laugh every time.
J2 pushes into JQ? No problem. I've got three outs, and only need one. (And this, Virginia, is why you should not call with QJ. Yes you might be ahead, but not by that much.) Good thing happens to those who push. Sam |

Re: Winning, but feeling like a fish
What's funny is when it's a battle between say A4 and A2 and the A4 thinks he has the other player hugely dominated and says so in chat.

I still think it's a bad call on his part. |
