I went to the depot on Sunday, and 90% of the toilet tanks there were a lot less that $100. Go to the store dude.[img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Unless you are confusing tank with bowl, which I don't think you are.

If you actually lifted the toilet off the floor you will probably need to replace the wax ring that seals the toilet to the drain pipe. I have never been able to move a toilet and get those things to seal right.

Toilets use a wax ring to seal the toilet to the drain pipe. If you lifted the toilet off the floor this can be damaged, and can leak water, or allow the floor around the toilet to mold.

Is it stuck in the toilet or in the drain? Assuming it's in the drain once you have the toilet off if you still can't get at it I would try to hook it with a hanger and pull it out. If that didn't work I would call it a day and phone the plumber.
