Default Tired of my car payment, what should I do?

Ok, I owe about $8,000 or so on my car (It books for about 9-10 I think). I'm paying about $300 a month. I am very tired of it, but I would rather buy a house then trade it in at the moment. I have the money to pay it off but it would be a serious dent in my &*^%* bankroll. While I am 99.9% positive I could build it back up, I'd rather not. I know trading it in (at least getting rid of it) is going to happen.

What should I do that would be the best for me in the long run?

Pay off my car now or keep paying on it until I'm ready to trade it in?

It all depends on what bankroll you have, how much you make a month, etc. etc. I'd take as much off of the car as I possiblly could, without compromising &%)*#

I'm curious about when I go to trade it in. Will they give me enough for the car for it to be worth paying it off or just waiting to trade it in (within a year or so).

Pay cash for things that depreciate and borrow on things that appreciate.

Find out how much you need to close on a house and then use a good chunk of what is left over to pay down your car.
