Re: QJs - victim of entrapment
I agree with BWebb that three-betting the flop is probably just spewing. Betting out is obviously correct but I think this is a great situation to reevaluate based on the turn card, as the draw heavy board means our equity will always be kind of suspect and a safe turn card (or one that improves us!) will usually do a lot to define our equity.

[ QUOTE ] I'm either three betting the flop or CRing it. Not doing that IMO is a mistake. The rest looks okay [/ QUOTE ] 3 betting is just spewing. You hand isn't very strong and a ton of cards can kill it on the turn if you are ahead. Why invest 3/4 sbs on the flop when you have a very good chance of having to check/fold the turn? [/ QUOTE ] I see what you're sayin. I'm maybe a little too used to short handed play. I still think that a CR on teh flop might be best. as long as the board is okay, I want to get to showdown with this hand, and as cheaply as possible |

I'm in the middle of 5 players and nobody has shown any aggression. If all went perfectly the button bets and I can face the CO with a 2-bet call. My best chance here (imo at least) is leading out. I cut-off the odds for other Q's to chase a gutshot, and can use a potential raise from behind me to protect against a bigger field. |

Re: QJs - victim of entrapment
What are everyones thoughts on checking this flop to see the action and what the turn brings? That board is extremely draw heavy and would hit a ton of limping hands. You could be behind now and if not there are about 25 cards you don't want to see. (9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s, 3 Tens, 2 Nines, 3 Eights, 2 Queen, 3 Kings, 3 Aces. I think I counted those right but I could be off). I'd check the flop with calling/folding/raising all being an option depending on the action.
