Default 2 pair in BB - 3 bet the turn?

Party 2/4
Hero is BB with [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5
Very first hand at table, so no reads, and no stats on any in PT.

1 fold, 1 call, 2 folds, BUT call, SB cals, Hero checks.

Flop (4 SB)
[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5
SB check, hero bet, UTG call, BUT raise, SB fold, Hero 3 bet, UTG fold, BUT calls

Turn (5.5 BB)
[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A
Hero bet, BUT raise, Hero 3-bet, BUT caps, Hero call.

River (13.5 BB)
[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J
Hero check, BUT check.

In the hindsigt figured I should have slowed down on the turn, just calling him down.

I play it the same way except maybe bet the river. What are you behind that didn't raise preflop? 9/9 or 5/5? A passive may limp with k/10, k/j. I think you are ahead here all the way.

i think you have to slow down after he raised the turn. I would assume he has 55 or 99, and he stopped betting at 3 bets on the flop just so you would bet into him on the turn. he also may have limped with AK and stopped betting at 3 bets on flop because he thought he was behind.

trouble either way.

I think you need to consider slowing down on the turn. After you 3-bet the flop the button raised you again on the turn. What do you think he has that you have beat? Unless he is a complete maniac your top and bottom pair are no good here. If he was raising you with a big King on the flop he wouldn't have popped you again on the turn. K9, 99, 55, AK, maybe A9 are all possible here. You are probably drawing slim to dead.
