got a replay from empire. i like the mess up, but at least it was taken care of.

Not really taboo...if you don't qualify, you just won't get it.
What may work better is an email to info@empirepoker.com asking them to give you the bonus. They've gotta be hurting based on the player base they've lost! Just a thought...
