Wow. I know that SOME people might miss it and thus would accidentally fold pre-flop or on the flop or something...but that's ridiculous.

Some pretty good pot-odds all those players were missing out on.

I had pretty much decided to go all in preflop if I was in one of these hands, but the more hand histories I see of these, the more I am beginning to think that might draw attention to the hand number. Maybe just 5 or 10x BB.

Just go all in. Nobody is watching the hand numbers except us.

Apparently the vast majority of Party players are completely oblivious to how much this is worth.

I had a chance to time one of my tables today and choked. I was last to act on the river on my last table and was going to fold so as soon as I did we would get a new game #. My other 3 tables had just started a game and were all late 998 and early 999 so I knew it was coming soon.

I waited about 10 seconds to fold but I needed another 15 or 20 or so since I hit 999,600. I had gotten much closer than that all the other days.

good strategy....but still pretty tough to do this.

this one seems MUCH tougher to hit then the similar ones that Stars and Paradise had (I never hit either of those either).

I was on 10 tables on party just playing generally as fast as I could...and still wasn't that close:

Looks like my closest were:
2,980,000,689
2,979,999,476

When it was on Stars I would almost always have a couple within 100...and frequently have 1 or 2 that were within 10 or 20.

On this one on Party it's practically a 'close-call' if you get within 500.

Is it possible to tell what the stakes were in this tournament that hand 2980000000 was in? The hand information doesn't seem to tell that, except to say that it was a real money tournament. It says 30/60, but that was just the level of the tournament. I'm not even sure from the hand history if it was single or multi table.

Why?
Tourneys are paid at the lowest possible jackpot amount other than free rolls
