Default Should I have called?

As you can see I folded the following after a pre-flop raise.

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (10 handed) converter

MP2 (t1855)
MP3 (t2565)
Hero (t2340)
Button (t905)
SB (t785)
BB (t635)
UTG (t2360)
UTG+1 (t1715)
UTG+2 (t3125)
MP1 (t670)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of t100.
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls t200, UTG+2 calls t200, MP1 folds, MP2 calls t200, MP3 folds, Hero calls t200, Button raises to t880, SB (poster) folds, BB folds, UTG+1 calls t680, UTG+2 calls t680, MP2 folds, Hero folds.

Flop: (t3340) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks.

Turn: (t3340) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks.

River: (t3340) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks.

Final Pot: t3340

Results in white below:
UTG+1 has Js Qc (high card, ace).
UTG+2 has 4h 4c (one pair, fours).
Button has Qs Ad (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Button wins t3340.

I was not so worried by the Button or UTG+1 since they were short stacked.
However, UTG+2 is in good shape so he must have something to call with.
You can imagine my shock when the 7 comes up on a rainbow flop.

Was it callable?

Given the pot odds you were getting, and that you were last to act, I would say yes, this was callable.

Granted, it's probably a flop-a-set-or-get-the-hell-out situation (barring some relative miracle 6-high rainbow flop), but I still think it's worth a call. The reward here for a set is huge, and the risk is manageable.

only reason I can come up with for not pushing with AA preflop is, "I won't get called if I put all my money in now."

You definetly made the right move by folding. Calling here is definetly NOT an option. A call is almost 1/3 of your stack and is way too much to risk with just a pair of 7's because you are going to be folding those sevens on almost any flop. I would definetly fold in this situation as it looks like if you reraise all in the other two players are going to call. You definetly do not want to be all in with 7's against 3 other hands. If that 7 on the flop had been an ace instead, would you have second guessed your fold?
