weird connection proble, downloads are fast but poker/internet are slo
Right now I'm at my schools library, connected to their connection. right now im downloading a torrent file at 60 kbs, but the websites that im looking at in mozilla are slow. it takes a couple seconds to load webpages, way longer than it should to. my connection with empire poker is also slow. is there any reason i would be downloading something at 70 kb/s or more but my other internet applications are laggy? weird.

Beacuse the torrent download takes up most of the bandwidth? Set max download speed/max connections on the torrentclient and it wont happen.
