$11: TT in Big Blind/ Flop OESD
Party $10+1
Villian has seen almost every flop, and has lost around t400 after doubling up with a limp/reraise push with AA. 15/30 Tourney Texas Hold'em Game Table (NL) (Table Table 67721 (Real Money) -- Seat 7 is the button Total number of players : 9 Seat 1: Villian (t1230) Seat 2: Folder1 (t785) Seat 4: Folder2 (t1550) Seat 5: Folder3 (t775) Seat 6: Folder4 (t830) Seat 7: Folder5 (t640) Seat 8: SB (t680) Seat 9: TRHScc814 (t800) Seat 10: UTG (t710) SB posts small blind (t10) TRHScc814 posts big blind (t15) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to TRHScc814 [ T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ] UTG folds. My thoughts in white: Prelop: It is very likely that I am ahead now, but don't really want 3 way action. Raise to limit the field and maybe take it down now. Flop: I don't like the 2 overcards, but I have an OESD. Villian has folded when he completely missed flops, so I put out a small probe/continuation bet. Turn: Mixed blessing, I hit the straight, but the flush card also came. His reraise represents strength, but I think he makes this big move with any pair plus a big club/2pair or better. I have redraw outs to the straight flush even if he has me right now. Results to come later. What do you think? Also, what if I have the red tens instead of the T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]? |

Re: $11: TT in Big Blind/ Flop OESD
With a loose player like this you could be up against anything from AQo where he has the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], a baby flush, 2 pair or better, or another ten. The T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] only gives you a shot against something like 65 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], which he could easily have tried to limp with in EP. I think he flips over small suited connectors more often than QJo, and you have to lay down your one-card straight.

I think you have to call too many hands you are beating or have a decent enough redraw to warrant a call.

Re: $11: TT in Big Blind/ Flop OESD
I think he could play a huge range like this. He could have anything from a made nut flush to a semi-bluff with the A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] to 2 pair or worse.

Re: $11: TT in Big Blind/ Flop OESD
Thanks for the input guys.
What happened next...... Villian flips over K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] for flush K high River: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero wins with Straight Flush Queen high, villian is goes nuts in chat box and busts when he pushes 83 the next hand. Sometimes, variance can be your friend. |

He's calling with K4s and he thinks he has a reason to go nuts?

Re: $11: TT in Big Blind/ Flop OESD
I would not raise with TT preflop from the BB, you will be out of position on the flop and it's just too hard to play into a host of limpers who could have absolutely anything. Otherwise I think your play was ok though the flop bet was too small.
