Hackers! Help please.
So I tried to login to my Hotmail account about 5 hours ago and received the following message:
"You have made too many unsuccessful sign-in attempts with an incorrect password for: Your account is temporarily unavailable. This is a temporary delay that helps prevent someone else from guessing or obtaining your password." I am still getting that message when attempting to login. Is someone actually trying to hack into my account? Is there anything I can do? Thanks, Oscar |

Re: Hackers! Help please.
People actually still use hotmail??
I'd give away the password myself and let the person get all the hotmail problems. Windows SP2, Firefox and Norton should help keep you cool. If you are able to log on again, make sure to forward everything to a gmail account or other and you should be fine. |

I dont know how long it is locked for, but as far as I know your only choice is to just wait.

Re: Hackers! Help please.
I hate Norton, but a software firewall might help. Also get Ad-Aware and make sure there is no malicious software on your computer.
But then again, it could have been somebody you don't like just sitting at a computer and trying to log in to your account. You can always email Hotmail support and get a prompt answer in about a month and a half. |
