Re: .5/1 JJ Hand for Review
Man this is ugly. Bet more on the flop. Nothing you can do on the turn IMO. I can't comfortably check-fold and any bet commits you.

Re: .5/1 JJ Hand for Review
Preflop is SOP.
I really want to pot that flop, then hit myself with a brick if it's called. Turn couldn't have possibly helped unless Villain's holding, say, 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I don't want to bet it. I don't want to check it. Christ. If you're not doubled through now, that river probably did the trick nicely. I wish I knew how to play this hand well. Stacks & board seem just right for me to get WTF PWNED here. Somebody better than me (read: most of you), feel free to take a crack at this little puppy. And practice flopping a jack. |

Re: .5/1 JJ Hand for Review
Wow. Don't you hate those short-stacked bastards?
I agree, there wasn't much you could do here. Of course if he had more cash we could think seriously about folding to a turn raise, but as it played out, you're locked in. Your only escape route is to be incredibly weak-tight and check the turn. Sure, someone holding a 9 will have called that flop and has now hit a straight. But I think the flush draw or a ten are much more likely calling hands and so a check-the-turn line gives up a lot of value. Well played. |

Re: .5/1 JJ Hand for Review
Against certain opponents I think you could check fold the turn to a big bet but without a read this looks good.

Re: .5/1 JJ Hand for Review
i'd bet more on the flop to make chasing with a naked 9 way more uncomfortable. once the turn hits not much You can do other than check/fold but that doesn't feel right.
