Default A set vs. a made straight - when should I draw for the full house?

MP3 is 56.7/0/0.73 over 30 hands
UTG+2 is 56.5/0/0.45 over 23 hands

Both basically fish.

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $50 (10 handed) converter

CO ($53.50)
Hero ($50.00)
SB ($16.00)
BB ($44.50)
UTG ($27.75)
UTG+1 ($28.25)
UTG+2 ($60.25)
MP1 ($39.50)
MP2 ($41.25)
MP3 ($22.25)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, UTG+2 calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP3 calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($3) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 bets $1.5</font>, MP3 calls $1.50, CO folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3</font>, SB folds, BB folds, UTG+2 calls $1.50, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $4.5</font>, Hero calls $1.50, UTG+2 calls $1.50.

Turn: ($16.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 bets $8</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $17.25</font>, Hero folds, UTG+2 calls $9.25.

River: ($51) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Final Pot: $51

I figure I'm beat after I get re-raised, but I call as it's not too much. On the turn I'm sure UTG+2 is going to call MP3's bet, bringing the pot to $51, pots odds say I should call (26%, 10 outs to win + 2 split the pot), but UTG+2 has me covered. Is it appropriate to make a call in this situation?

I think the fold is good, considering any 10 or 2 spades beat you and UTG can still re-open the action behind you. Yet you need to raise more on the flop, make a good pot-sized raise. With your min-raise your giving any flush and oesd a good price.

Don't minraise the flop with bottom set on a board this coordinated. Chances are very good that you are ahead and by min-raising you price everyone in to chase you down.

When MP3 re-minraises the flop on you, its time to push.

Turkey has put my brain into doze mode, so I won't even look at the turn math...But I will say make a real raise on the flop, and get it all-in there if possible. Purge yourself of minraising in this spot (or almost any spot for that matter) or face the wrath of SSNL 2+2'ers.

Minraising the flop is a killer. Make something more substantial, and push if it gets reraised. If you go broke by someone playing JJ or QQ stupidly, make a note.
