Default new year\'s eve

hey hope everyone had a good holiday season. as new year's eve approaches i'm trying to decide what to do. one of my options is to play that night on party poker. i didn't start playing until february of this year (so i didn't experience new year's eve last year on party poker) so i don't know if there will be lots of traffic and therefore lots of monkeys on new year's eve or will everyone be out partying it up and therefore no monkeys. any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks. and happy new year.

Considering that most on this board are overweight and single I assume it will be true for most here. Or getting hammered because of the above reasons.

I'm hanging out with my friends that are not that good at poker and we are going to play some $2-$5 tourney's woohoo. Big bucks.

Go out and get drunk. That is my advice.

Oxymoron, I think better evidence was that horrific 2+2 "post your pic" thread. Workout goals /= being overweight. My weight is fine but I'd like to be able to benchpress my own weight, you know, for that rare occasion when you're trapped under a car and need those pecs to get you out of harms way.

To the OP: Whatever you do, come up with an alibi to tell people when they ask "what are you doing for New Years." Or win at least 1k on party that night. Or lie and say you did.

NYE is one of the worst holidays, at least in the States. Complete amateur hour at the bars, ridiculous prices, highly increased hassle from cops, and pretty dangerous to be out on the roads. There's no shame in staying home and making some money.

I have no idea how the action will be, but I'd imagine that as people get home drunk after midnight, it'll be pretty good.

Please don't play poker on new years eve. I know the allure of money is really nice, but come on. Get drunk, knock up a girl, vomit a hellacious amount, anything. I don't care if you go fishing. Please just do something.
