Default boredom

Given the predominantly loose, meaningless, caller-station type play at the micro-limits, a lot of what goes on is just waiting for a good starting hand and collecting from the fish. I understand the necessity of studying my opponents during hands I'm not involved in, but often there's nothing more to study than, well, that guy's a maniac and the rest are automatons. The result is boredom and discouragement.

IS it possible to find tables at these limits where true betting patterns can be discerned, or will it always be like playing go-fish with 9 kindergarteners??

Is the time spent at the micro-limits all about honing your skills at hand selection, determining implied odds, etc.? Or am I missing something?

You're absolutely right. Post a starting hand chart over your computer and you can win big
