6-Max : Reraising with JJ preflop
This thread really has 2 questions about jacks.
1. Do you ever reraise with JJ preflop at 6-max ? What conditions do you look for before repopping ? High PFR from villain ? Weak raise ? Stack size ? Perhaps a read ? Anything else, I'd like to hear it [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2. When you call a PF raise (instead of reraising) with JJ, do you mostly consider it a "set or no bet" hand ? Any thoughts on this also appreciated. Thanks |

Re: 6-Max : Reraising with JJ preflop
I almost always reraise JJ pre-flop from any position

Re: 6-Max : Reraising with JJ preflop
1) If villain is a maniac I will re-raise. Short stacks get the all-in treatment. Highly read dependent. Against a solid TAG or a rock, it is definitely a set value hand.
2) Set or not bet, unless I flop an overpair in position. Then I will challenge a continuation bet and try to get to a cheap showdown if called. |

[/ QUOTE ] Time for another question (which is adressed to everyone): You call preflop w JJ, flop comes 268r and it's checked to you, do you bet or check behind ? (1/2, 3/4 pot ? full ?) Fold if C/R'ed ? Plan if flat called ? |

Re: 6-Max : Reraising with JJ preflop
Against people that are trying to make top pair I'm more likely to call and see what happens. Against people that are trying to make the nuts I'm more likely to reraise. So it comes down to what types of hands they are playing, and how far they will go with them postflop. 76s usually isn't putting in a lot of money postflop against JJ as a dog.

Re: 6-Max : Reraising with JJ preflop
as usual it all depends...
as a standard i will only rr weak bets (ie min raise type raises) that wont be hu. i normally give them a little over pair value, and almost always bet them when checked to in position as an overpair. |

[/ QUOTE ] only time I guess is when I feel they should be played for set value, which means opponent has to be a real nit, which I just dont encounter shorthanded that much. (where they only raise AA, KK, QQ) |
