Any reads at all? or are you asking a purely ICM question?

LOL. Is there really that much of a difference here? I will say that UTG isn't a super dufus.

I don't think you're going to do so hot against his range. Maybe a little better than break even. If your pair were slightly higher I'd be a bit more enthusiastic about calling, but as is I think I'd probably go ahead and fold here.

As I'm sure you know, it's a fold with the villian on the range 44+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+. I have a hard time seeing him push more than this from UTG with the button being so short.

Obviously I'm as confused as everyone else in regards to Giga's "blocks" idea, but as I understand it there could be some merit to making the call here. Or is it more of a reason to fold? Told ya I was confused, can anyone set me straight?

While I generally agree with your thought processes, what hand range do you put villain on here? You can feel free to assume he's a thinking player and recognizes stack management, or otherwise.

WTF?? Pot odds?? You're getting slightly better than 1-1 odds.

first of all. the range is bigger than you think here. you may be up against 1 over and 1 under second of all. the pot odds are...300 in the pot. he pushes for 1300. you call 1100... so you are getting 16-11 that is more like 1.5 to 1... and your a about 55-45 against AK. its a call IMO. marginal, but it is +EV. and you are still fine if you lose.
