$400/month for a room in a house in Annandale, VA. A friend of mine owns the house and also lives there. Another friend also rents a room. The house is nice, bedrooms are smallish, but living room, kitchen and basement are all big. It's just outside of the Beltway. The only downside is you can't walk anywhere, it's all about driving in this area.

$750/mo (that's total, no roommates)

3 BR, 2 BA duplex (side-by-side, no stairs), Horn Lake, Mississippi (between Tunica and Memphis)

I think it's about 1300 sq ft, off-street parking, appliances, pool is about a block away, kitchen is kind of small--but since my last place burned down, I had to find a new place quickly, and couldn't be choosy. The neighborhood is fine, on a scale of 1-10 I'd say a 7.

Before anyone asks, I need 3br/2ba because I have a wife and three kids.

I had planned on moving back home to Massachusetts this summer, but I just couldn't stomach the idea of paying double the rent for a crappier place.

$600/Month ($2400/4 Roommates) for a 4br 2 full bath house in Nassau County, Long Island. Just moved in last week, nice neighborhood. The house has a 1 car garage, 2 nice decks in the backyard, and hardwood floors. Its 15 minutes from my job/school so its perfect for me.

This thread is crazy. I have been recently looking at 1br apts in SF for $2000-3000 and 1br apts in NYC for $3000-4000.

-2 bedroom, one-bathroom shitty apartment. right on campus (I have a 5 minute walk to a few of my classes)
-It's pretty "ghetto" but I don't really care.
