Default Babbo

I will be there tonight. Should I get the pasta tasting menu or the traditional tasting menu? Menus can be found here.

Please explain why. Thank you.

I've never seen this specific phoneticization, but I concur.

EDIT: I believe I just ended up replying to 2 korean people about a korean word. I better put a hat on to cover up my donkey ears.

I'd go with traditional. I want a variety of courses.

I look forward to the trip report.

I went to Cru on Tuesday, and going to Le Bernardin on Sat. I may post a trip report following Sat.

Edit: Talk about a question with no wrong answer...

Was there about 4 months ago (and actually like 5 years ago but that's not very releveant I'd think now) - I got the pasta tasting menu, she got the traditional.

The traditional was better (pasta gets old, even the freshest pasta is, at the end of the day... pasta) but I was glad to try both (we shared).

Savage wants to do Grimaldi's this week. I think it's a good idea. Wanna go? Paluka, turnip, and others?

Default Pasta

Pasta tasting menu was superb. The pappardelle had a remarkably deep and rich flavor, the pyramids were wonderfully beefy with subtle ricotta flavor, and the panna cotta had the purest, cleanest vanilla flavor I've ever tasted.

And Bill Murray ate at the table next to us.

This is Mario Batali's place, right?

I used to eat lunch at his dad's sandwich shop in Seattle.

I miss that place.
