As someone said, this may come down to simply John Wayne Vs Clint...

In the actual battle royale, why not just list:

Clint Movie
John Wayne Movie
and then others by name? OUATINW, Peckinpah, etc...

I realize that Unforgiven will probably win it all, but to me anyway these polls aren't about what movie is the greatest in whatever category. Based on voting I often end up finding some cool movies which I hadn't seen or perhaps even been aware of. This is what makes it worthwhile to me.

And unforgiven shouldn't win. The Searchers should, obviously.
