Once Upon A Time In The West
The Searchers
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

I think OUATITW is the easy choice.

I think "Unforgiven" is vastly overrated. Yes it's a good movie, but greatest western ever?

clearly unforgiven should be given consideration.

I thought Lonesome Dove was great, but not sure it counts for this.

The Shootist

The John Wayne one with the psycho wife...forget the name of it but it's good....

The Magnificent Seven
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Davey Crocket (or was that something Alamo?)

90% of John Wayne's work...

edit: It was 'The Alamo'

Rio Bravo is my favorite.

Some other good John Wayne westerns:
The Searchers
Stagecoach
McLintock!
Big Jake
Chism
Sons of Katie Elder
The Undefeated
The War Wagon
Red River

I don't know if it counts, but I always liked How the West was Won.

Outlaw Josie Wales is awesome.
Magnificent Seven may not have been as good as Seven Samurai, but it was still good.

The Magnificent Seven
1970's version.

But Clint is in a league of his own. One of his will win it when it comes to poll time.
