Default Radeon 9800 Pro - cooling fan burning out

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card. Recently my cooling fan has started to cut out and when it runs it isn't at max speed - the heatsink is cooking. Needless to say, I don't want to burn out my card. I was going to replace the fan but realized in actually sits in the heatsink - so just any old fan won't do. ATI doesn't sell replacement fans and I couldn't find one on ebay (also called some local tech shops but no one sells the just fan or fan/heatsink combo).

Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have an free pci slot next to your card?

You can buy a "vga cooler" (look this up on google). They usually take up more space in your box, that's why I asked about the open slot.

Artic and Vantec make some pretty good stuff.

They sell aftermarket heatsink fan combos that will work wonders. If this is something you feel comftable with doing (replacing the heatsink and fan) which is pretty simple, let me know I can point you in the right direction.

Doing the work myself is not a problem - I just needs the part. If you can point me towards some aftermarket product it would be appreciated.

I can free up a PCI slot below the vid card - I just needs to shuffle a few things around

Took a look at the Artic fan - looks like it would do the trick.

Thanks

You should look on newegg.com. They sell a lot of exhaust fans for different model cards. I recommend putting a new powerful heatsink fan on it and also consider adding an exhaust fan to your box.
