Default Is this a Standard Reraise All in or a Reckless one?

this is a hand that inspired some debate after i discussed it with a poker crony. All comments invited.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (7 handed)

UTG (t1715)
MP1 (t2180)
MP2 (t1430)
CO (t1970)
Button (t1105)
SB (t3300)
Hero (t1800)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG folds, MP1 raises to t400, MP2 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, Hero raises to t1800, MP1 calls t1400.

Flop: (t3650) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t3650) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t3650) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t3650

Results in white below:
MP1 shows As Kd (full house, threes full of sixes).
Hero shows 7s 7c (full house, threes full of sevens).
Outcome: Hero wins t3650.

I have no idea why that should be a standard call, much less a raise. Why risk it all on a medium pair, when you will have several opportunities to wait for a better spot?

I don't like this play at all for the same reasons your crony didn't.
