basic noob questions
I tried searching.
1. I realize in order to 4-table on Party I need 1600x1200. What determines a monitor's max res? Monitor model, size, software, video card..?? 2. Is there some general info out there on setting up a 2nd monitor? 3. Is there general info on what components are considered essential when purchasing a new computer mainly for online poker? Thx!

1) I know this is going to sound like I'm not answering your question but here we go. Your Monitor determines the res. If the monitor can go up to 1600x1200 then it can go that high. If it can't go that high, like only 1024x768 that's it. So when you buy a monitor, just make sure it matches your needs or exceeds them.
2) I'm sure if you googled "setting up second monitor" you would get a ton of hits. Its really not that hard. 3) A good, fast, stable internet connection.

Practically it's all of the above. The monitor has a max rez, and the video card has a max rez. The lowest common denominator rules. [ QUOTE ] 2. If your video card supports dual display natively, then it's as simple as plugging in monitor #2. [ QUOTE ] 3. Virtually any modern computer would be sufficient. PT takes up a bit more resources, but again any modern computer would suffice.
