Default Managua Poker

Managua, Nicaragua seems to have an over abundance of casinos but only one place that recently started to offer Texas Hold’em. Pharos Casino on the road to Masaya has two tables.
I don’t think they did much research before offering poker, this is obvious for a number of reasons.
-The tables are small, WPT six player final table size, I guess all they’ve seen of poker was on TV.
-The betting structure is spread limit 5-10-15-20.
-The rake is 5% NO CAP, (its depressing taking down a $200 pot and getting raked $10)

Even with the criminal rake this is a profitable game due to more than enough clueless locals.

Beware of local rules such as checking or betting out of turn results in an automatic forfeit of your hand.

It’s nice to finally see poker in Managua but it’s a shame no-one took a trip next door to Costa Rica first to see how it should be done.
