Default Puppy Poker

Dogs live in the moment.

Editorial comments in parentheses to be read in your best cartoon 6-month-old basset hound puppy voice.

I'm in MP. I look down at [img]/forums/images/icons/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/forums/images/icons/heart.gif[/img] (oh boy oh boy oh boy, I have a hand, I'm gonna play, oh boy, drool, slobber)

Fold to UTG+3 who calls, pain in the neck to my right raises (oh boy oh boy oh boy, why'd he do that, I'm gonna play, oh boy) I call.

I anticipated many cold-calls and no raising (i don't care, i'm suited, oh boy oh boy oh boy, ace queen, i'm gonna play).

All fold to SB who calls. BB folds, UTG+3 limper calls. 8 sb.

Four players see the flop of A [img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img] , 4 [img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img] , A [img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] . (oh boy oh boy oh boy, I have a hand, I'm gonna play, slobber, oh boy).

SB and UTG+3 check to pre-flop pain in the neck who bets, I raise (oh boy oh boy oh boy I'm gonna win I'm gonna win, oh boy).

All fold except pre-flop pain in the neck who calls. Head's up with pre-flop pain in the neck. 6 bb.

Turn comes 3 [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img] .

I bet all-in (wait, i'm out of money, where's my money, i wanna bet, please let me bet more, oh boy i'm gonna win).

Pain in the neck calls. 7.5 bb.

River brings the K [img]/forums/images/icons/heart.gif[/img] .

Comments?

one question, and i see this is a lot of posts...

You're in MP, UTG+3 limps, all fold to pain in the neck on the right(who is all), from UTG+3 to MP is 1-3 seats, was it one fold?

Anyway, sucks to have run out of money before the river with that hand.

Pain in the neck shows K [img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] and says: "Lucky me."

Default Missing Card in original post and questions

I can't edit the original post again and I see I'm missing the A [img]/forums/images/icons/heart.gif[/img] .

What about the pre-flop cold-call? I think I should have folded. Who else calls here?

I think play after that was automatic. Maybe not though if the pre-flop raiser had AK. I couldn't put him on it though. I couldn't put anyone on a hand last night. I should have taken that as a clue and not played.

Why is the guy a pain in the neck? B/c he raises too much? In that case, I would 3-bet.

With AQs against a raise with no callers, all three options are viable (fold, call, raise) as that situation is truly worthy of the "it depends" label. I don't think I have ever mucked AQs online, though. I have mucked AQo online many times though -- twice last night.

I had a rough night last night and he, or another occupant of that seat before him, had consistently been catching two pair on the river to beat my one pair. I'll make money off him in the long run but last night he was a pain in the neck.
