Default Dell inspiron 9300 overlap question.

I just got mine and set the resalution at 1600 1200. It makes the tables small enough to where there would be no overlap, however there is an extra black border around the outside of the tables which causes overlap.

HELP.

right click on blank desktop. select "properties."
next click on "setting" tab. next clik the box in the bottom right hand area that says "advanced." then click the tab that says "general." under the heading that says "DPI setting" there should be a dropdown menu. it should be reading "NORMAL SIZE(96dpi)". if it doesnt, then select that option, and hit apply and ok. that should solve your problem.

The correct answer was "Read the FAQ"

Oh, and Jeff: The native resolution is 1920x1200 for that system (unless they shipped some units with a non-widescreen monitor in the beginning)
