Default Baseball and the wildcard

So we've had this thing for a while now. I cant remember if it was controversial when it came out or if anyone was against it.

I think its one of the best things baseball has done.

Anyone out there not like the wildcard?

agreed. the next best thing would be having a DH rule one way or the other across both leaugues.

As long as one way or the other means no DH, at all, ever, anywhere.

i can live with that. but with interleague play, it should be one way or the other.

That would not improve baseball at all.

why not?

NL teams are built for the pitcher hitting, AL teams for a DH. Yet there is interleauge play now to think about, putting the visiting team at an inherant disadvantge.

As long as a team plays equal numbers of home and away interleague games, this is not a problem.

I can see why this appeals to some. But the rule gives each league a separate identity, something you don't see in other sports. I think that makes interleague play (of which I'm not a big fan), and especially the WS a bit more intriguing.
