Default Party Poker

Ok, so all I hear is that Party Poker is filled with fish and is the greatest thing ever. well I have checked it out and I have not seen a tighter .50/1.00 game anywhere on the internet (granted I've only played at 4 others).

Am I missing something, or did I just play the wrong day. I tried to pick the best tables. But If we had 4 people to a flop we were lucky?

Post this in small stakes. Someone there will set you straight.

I did post it in small stakes and was asked to post it in micro. So it's here now.
Maybe I'm picking the tables wrong. I usually look for a full table that has a large average pot since they don't appear to give percentage that sees the flop numbers.

Party has fish, but it ain't the fishiest ever. You don't get 8 people seeing the flop, more like 6. There are fishier places (i.e. Pacific and other casino-driven sites) but Party has more people, better bonuses, multi-tabling, etc.

Party's .50/1 games are good, but definitely not the greatest out there. The appeal of Party is that there are lots of bonuses and tons of good games going 24 hours a day. There are some tight .50/1 games in there but if you exercise proper table selection then you won't have a problem. I 4-table and I move around quite a bit whenever a game turns sour or breaks. You can't just mindlessly sit down at every table and assume it's going to be a fish paradise.

The problem with just going after the largest average pot is that a lot of good players would use the same idea. Sure, sometimes you'll want a table with a large pot average due to maniacs, but typically a table with a bunch of bad players will be mostly loose/passive. Loose means a lot of players on the flop, but passive means less raising and thus a smaller pot size.

you have not seen tight until you've sat down at an Interpoker 1/2 table. 20% see the flop, avg pot of four bucks.
