Default I take a weird line against a TAG to extract max value

Guy has TAG stats. I felt he'd fold the flop to a bet or a checkraise and would check behind a lower pocket pair behind on turn and possibly fold river. I don't think he'd cold cap with AQ so its either AK or \pocketpair.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Flop: (16 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>

Turn: (9 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Final Pot: 10 BB

I hated it at first but it's not so bad looking at it again.

Why not let him check behind with a pocket pair? Do you think he'll fold the river to 1 bet? Won't he call to induce a bluff on the river assuming he's a TAG? If you think he'll call 1 more bet on the river if you check the turn, it's worth giving him 22:1 I think.

Edit: Sorry I was being results oriented. I like it.

Edit: I'm not so sure. If he folds to a flop raise, he folds to a turn bet, and you get the same amount of money usually, and worse if he managed to spike a set. Right?

I REALLY like this, especially when the J hits. If villain has KK or QQ, there's no way for him to get away from losing 2BB here, vs. checking while will nearly always net you 1BB. Likewise, you only lose one extra BB when he has JJ or AA. Perhaps you lose value when you could checkraise a hand like AQ, but I think the other scenarios make up for this. Nice decision.
