I've never felt the Nexgens but all the reviews I've read have been positive. "Best chip for the money" type of comments. They'll be an upgrade from my dice chips I'm sure. Like I mentioned in the op I plan to get labels which the Nexgens are good for also. Looks like the Discount Casino Gear deal is the best. Thanks guys.

It should be noted that not all Nexgens are equal, even though their descriptions are identical.
"Las Vegas" nexgens != River Poker Tour nexgens != Lucky Bee nexgens.

The Las Vegas ones have a nice texture. The RPTs are as slick as dice chips. The Bees are in between. IMO the Vegas ones are the only ones worth getting.

So the 220 for the 1000 chip Las Vegas with the nice case is a good deal then? The chips say Las Vegas Nevada on them according to the listing.

The above link is for the series 1 Nexgens. There are 4 types: Series 1, Lucky Bee, River Poker Tour, and Series 2. Difference between series 1 and 2 are the edge spots. Reviews for the series 2 have been good. I ordered the series 2 because I liked the edge spot and color choices.

I like mine as much or more than the Nevada Jacks and other $1+ per chips. They are plastic but look very nice and feel good. Just order some samples of a few different types and decide what you want, it is worth $20-30 worth of samples to have something you are going to be happy with.

Plastic is just out of the question tho. I want something that 100% feels like a casino chip. The Rounders sample set i got was perfect but they are backordered for months.
