Default Virus: a.bat

My anti-virus software was unable to remove this one, and when I google it the only information I can find is unintelligible to a layman like myself. Anybody familiar with this one and how I can get rid of it?

a.bat is not the virus itself, but just a batch-file created by it. maybe it's this little fellow.

what av are you using? if your av doesn't help, try another. avg is recommened by many and kaspersky should work, too. try to find out the name of the virus, so that you can get more info.

Try running the Antivirus in safe mode...or just go into safe mode and delete it.

This may not kill it. Many viruses and ad/malware programs create registry keys that cause the virus/malware to respawn. It is important to identify the virus so that you can eliminae all traces of if from your system.
