Against a completely unknown player I always tend to err on the side of caution and thus I would probably have been more conservative than you would have been on this play Tommy.

There's definitely some EV that is given up here playing so, but it's not much and without any reads/betting patterns I feel it's better to feel safer than not. But that's just me.

eh in vegas I think going past 6 bets is no good.

HA! At foxwoods 20-40, 4 bets means the uber nutz or some guy accidentally tossed too many chips in the pot.

"it's interesting you only went 5 bets on that flop. i think if you do that enough you will leave money on the table that should be in your stack. i think that's around an 8-10 bet flop because your hand is pretty disguised against typical 20-40 players."

I see this as more validation to support the notion that it would be a good idea if southern California and northern California were split up into two states. (And we get Santa Cruz.)

Putting in the 5th bet without the stone cold nuts in FW is virtual suicide. Any street. Specially in the 10-20 game.

But properly executed you can steal many, many pots.

I've went 13 on the river in the 20 game with the 2nd nuts and MHWG. It depends on the particular player.

100% chance you were up against a vacationer from California. The only time I've ever put in a 6 bet the whole table looked at me as if I was betting the farm on the Celtics.

I guess you think 5 bets on the flop was a little light as well .
