Best place for 4/8 in san jose
hey guys,
gonna be in San Jose tomorrow on business at the Fairmont and wanted to hit up a casino tomorrow night. Any recommendations for a 4/8 game (or maybe 1/2 NL)? I have done a little research and have found that bay101, and Garden City keep popping up (and both are under 10 miles away from my hotel). Any other recommendations (or at least out of these 2?). thanks |

Re: Best place for 4/8 in san jose
Bay101 and GC are your only choices within ~20 miles or so. Neither has NL due to city regulations, nor do they spread a 4/8 game. You will find 2/4, 3/6 and 6/12, however.
Games will be about the same at either room. Bay101 is larger and newer; GC has a more "old-time California card room" feel. |

while garden city has a 3/6 and a 6/12 game witha half kill i believe. [/ QUOTE ] GC has an 8/16 with a half kill (and that can be a verrrrrry nice game indeed), but the 6/12 does not have a kill. The only problem with the 8/16 is waiting for people to count out the stacks of $2 chips when making a raise on the big streets in a kill-pot. Very frustrating is the jump from 6/12 and 8/16 to 20/40. Something like 10/20 or 15/30 would be a nice stepping stone. |
