Sweet table....definitely digging the wood before the felt.

However, whats with the dinky chips? A table like that deserves better!

The rail? I made a ring out of 1/2 inch plywood that was 5 inches wide, then I stapled 1/2 inch high density foam to the top of rail(same width as rail), then I traced the rail +1 inch on the inside +3 inches on the outside all the way around on foam, then traced the rail + several inches all the way around on a shhet of vinyl, stapled the foam UNDER the plywood on the inside seam, stapled the vinyl under the plywood over the foam, then screwed down the rail to the table(push the stapled foam aside)then wrapped the foam around and stapled then wrapped the vinyl around and stapled.

Looks great. I'd love to see the plans when you finish them.

I was thinking about an iron-on like you use to be able to iron your t-shirts back in the day. maybe a stencil and airbrush?

I just dont want the texture to be different... I was thinking a iron on would make it sticky/matted there... so would paint I would think... so I was thinking some type of dye or lightening agent... more input is welcomed
