Default AK on button novice question

sb-only 11 hands 45/15
co-83/16/1.33

My first hand post, hope the format is ok.
unsure about last two streets. I feel I played too passively. Maybe bet turn, c/f river. Enlighten me.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Flop: (7 SB) Js, Qh, 2s (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, hero bets, SB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 5s (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, hero checks.

River: (5 BB) 3d (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, hero checks.

Final Pot: 5 BB
thx

you can probably throw another bet in on the turn. a lot of villains will be folding on the big $ street. check the river UI

I think you played this hand ok. If you hadnt improved on the turn i would have bet turn/checked river. However, you now have two overcards (which may not be good due to the straight draw) and the 2nd nut flush draw.

If you check the turn and fold the river UI i think there is very little chance of you folding the best hand.

I would play it the same. The turn falls into the "checking behind with outs" category. If it were HU i'd probably bet but with 2 players calling the flop I don't think my chances of taking the hand down immediately are that good. Our best bet of winning the hand is taking the free card and improving, imo.

I would definetely bet the turn here, you`re in position with two overcards and a ten will make a straight.

I would bet the turn, because of two reasons:
1. A but here could make people fold.
2. If someone raised you after the bet, you can be quite sure he has the flush.

So bet the turn, if you get raised fold. If someone calls, check/fold the river when not improved. If you hit a T,K or A i would c/c

"So bet the turn, if you get raised fold."

booooooo our hand is way too strong to fold the turn

"T,K or A i would c/c "

why people keep saying "c/c" or "c/f" when we're in position is beyond me. Not betting an A or K after the river checks to you is missing a lot of value, and not betting the nut straight is, uhhhh, bad.

OP: next time you use the converter, set the format to 2+2, that way we see the pretty pictures.

Fine, you can bet turn but thats up to you - Vs tighter opponents give it a go.

Vs loose guys or calling stations dont bother.

HU Vs all but super calling stations its worth a try(You'll often win ace high or hit outs when you go for a free sd or value bet river).

can't fold, which is a big reason why we don't bet
