Any read on the villan? Unless the villan is a donkey I'm always a bit concerned when I see UTG limp and after being check-raised in this spot I'd think there is a very good chance villan is holding a big hand (very likely AA). I think with the blind structure limping in with 55 is fine and I like leading out of the flop but I'm folding to the checkraise and waiting for a better spot.

Push looks fine to me. I think you'll fold quite a few better hands, and you should be 40% or so against almost every other holding except two hearts.

Pre-flop looks OK as well, hoping to hit a set and bust a big pair (which UTG might very well have).

I don't like it, too many times you are going to see a bigger pair here. That leaves you with 10 outs. I'd just don't think its a great idea to put it all on the line this early with such a vulnerable hand.

I don't think you can call this. Villain's not likely raising you with any one pair of board cards. Most likely he has an over pair. He might be on a flush draw or a made straight (unlikely with your 55). I give the guys at the $27s enough credit not to bump it on a draw....maybe I shouldn't. But, too early to risk the tourney on it.

there's a very common saying that most profitable SNGs players use in a situation like this...

"no set, no bet."

I personally have to hold myself back from betting at this flop. There is nothing in the pot and it's a very BIG drawing flop...

Another point to make here is; you're not the favorite to win the hand if you're against 2 overs with a flush draw...for instance QhJh you are 49.2% to win, while the QhJh is 50.8%.

it's just to early to get involved like this i think.

Yeah, but I don't think that necessarily applies when you are also drawing to the nut straight.

Jeez, doesn't anyone semi-bluff around here? You're fine with getting raised so you can push and expect to win something significant.

If you're going to fold to a raise, then just check the flop, I guess.

But you're not even semibluffing with the best draw here. If you're against AA or 66 you're drawing to six outs, ten outs if your opponent has any other overpair and you're about even money with two overcard hearts. The blinds are low and hero's stack is still healthy, I don't see any reason to risk busting out with such a marginal hand.
