Default Moniter Question

I figured this is a good place to post this question since a lot of you guys play off a number of different moniters. At the moment I 4 table the party sit and go's with good success. I'm playing off an old as non-lcd, non flat screen moniter so theres a lot of overlap.

I'm looking at getting a couple of new moniters to be able to 8-table the sit and go's.

After doing some reading i see that all you guys get the Dell 2001 FP moniter. Is this moniter the mac-daddy of moniters, or are there other options. I live in New Zealand and the 2001 fp's arn't cheap at all. I told a non poker playing mate of mine who is a bit of s computer expert about my plan of getting some moniters and brought up the subject of the 2001 fp's and he said i would be paying way to much and he's not a fan of dell moniters.

My question is, are the dell 2001 fp's the ONLY option for poker moniters, or are there other options I should look at.

Samsung 213T.

But flat panel lcds are awesome, so if you're going to be playing a lot. Do yourself a favor and get one.

However, this question would probably be better answered in the 'search internet forum' manner.

I'll give you a lead:
Search 2001fp
and 213T
seperately.

That should give you a lot of monitor talk.

Sure, i'm a cheap bastard so I just went down to my local circuit city and got a couple of 20" crts with 1600x1200 resolution. The two of them together cost me less than one 2001fp
