Default Value bet after turn checkraise?

Villan in this hand seems real solid with the ability to get tricky, hasn't been at the table long at all but I have seen him in the 300/600 game a few times. I have him at 33/26/1.79 over 200 or so hands, probably mainly from shorthanded games.

It seems as I've been playing higher I've encountered these situations where you're checkraised on the turn only to be checked to on the river and I feel a little lost with my marginal hands, for those who bet are you folding to a raise

it really looks like he gave up after you failed to fold to the turn checkraise.

either he missed his draw and is going to fold or will call with an 8 or medium PP. the only hand he might check the river here that you beat is a full house, in that case it looks like this calls for a fold to a raise.

This is a pretty straightforward value bet. In fact, I would even pay off a check-raise because that would look suspicious enough to be a move.
