Default AA ugly river 25NL

No reads. I will get pokertracker soon.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

CO ($31.95)
Button ($23.05)
Hero ($17.25)
BB ($26.65)
UTG ($3.95)
UTG+1 ($27.15)
MP1 ($25)
MP2 ($8.95)
MP3 ($9.40)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
4 folds, CO calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero (poster) raises to $1.15, 1 fold, CO calls $1.

Flop: ($2.75) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $2.5, CO calls $2.50.

Turn: ($7.75) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $7, CO calls $7.

River: ($21.75) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: $21.75

Hmm...after looking back at the HH, I guess I really did raise $1.15- I think I meant $1.5. Does anyone just push this river? Villan hesitated a long time before calling turn.

I'm checking too...you don't really have enough to push him off a better hand, and only getting a call from a hand that beats you.

I'm also expecting to see 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]'s

I think I'm checking that river too. Villain's hesitation on the turn makes me think he has a lone Q and was afraid of the trip J's. The river just took away his fear.

If I had a read that said villain was aggressive enough to bluff with a busted flush, I think I'd fire a blocking bet on the river. Against an unknown, I'm willing to check/fold.

No way, worse hands fold, better hands call. I hate checking the river tho too. Without a read how do you know he doesn't push his bricked FD when you check? I throw out a 1/3 blocker. No way is it getting raised without a boat, even being that small. I also only bet 1/2 pot on the turn.

Looks okay. No point in pushing the river, only hands that beat you will call. The question is, should we check/fold or check/call a river push?

That's why I advocate a blocking bet and 1/2 pot turn and say the river check is BAD. Only thing you beat is a bluff to a river push and you h ave no idea of his bluff frequency.

I only have $6 by the river. What is your consensus on the river? To c/f or c/c? If I am c/c-ing, I suppose I can pick off a bluff.

I agree pushing would be a bad play here. Its just hard because I have so little by the end.

Edit: Also realize that I have a SS in this game. Since having my first downswing at the 25s, I have been buying in shorter, 2 tabling full rings to try and rebuild my short roll.

1) I would advocated a larger PFR. Raise to $1.50 total.

Flop and turn look good.

2) I check/call and hate it, because I think typical players are too passive to bluff this river, but the pot's too big to fold to a push.

Agreed on the PF. I meant $1.50.
