Default not enjoying poker

I've been a long-term winner, and over the past couple days ive started tilting like it's my job. I get angry at myself and hate poker when I'm playing and when I'm away from it. But I can't stop playing. I get back to my room and it's all I want to do. This is more addicted than I was in the first two weeks of September when I was running so well it was laughable.

Anything I should be doing?

Not sure why you can't wait to get to your room and play a game that makes you miserable. But at any rate it sounds like a case of poker burnout and I think a break may be in order. Do something else you enjoy for a while. Playing angry is a sure ticket to wiping out months worth of hard-earned gains in a few days.

What are you getting for a payoff that keeps you running back to play more? Whatever your payoff (not $$ all the time btw) it must be worth the anger - unless anger is your payoff?

Give serious consideration to the possibility that you may have a gambling problem.

If you can't control yourself as to when and how you play poker, it does not really matter if you are a winner or a loser. You have a problem.

Suggest you try taking a few weeks away from the game, and see if you have the same feelings.

It may be that you will have to give up playing if you cannot control yourslef.

When the pain aspect of a vice overshadows the pleasure aspect
(drugs, weight-lifting, sleeping, gambling...) it is long past time
to quit. Beware of substitution also (don't, like, start playing BJ
instead...!)

Good Luck
