I'm a pretty big fan of the job Doug Melvin has been doing in Milwaukee since he took over the job.

[/ QUOTE ]

To highlight his career:
Traded Richie Sexson for Lyle Overbay, Junior Spivey (who he traded for Tomo Ohka), Craig Counsell, Chad Moeller, Chris Capuano and Jorge de la Rosa.

Traded Scott Podsednik and Jose Vizcaino for Carlos Lee.

Traded Danny Kolb for Jose Capellan.

Signed Scott Podsednik.

Signed Danny Kolb.

Signed Brady Clark.

Signed Derrick Turnbow.

He has done a fabulous job of managing a low payroll team and dumping guys at key times for high value.

Can't wait for the offseason.

[/ QUOTE ]

Also signed Doug Davis and Matt Wise.

I believe the Brewers also had the best ratio of wins per dollar spent in the majors this year.

John Schuerholz?

[/ QUOTE ]

What's hilarious is that at least 2 posts put up after yours refer to "the guy running the Braves". After all of these years, how can you follow baseball and not know that Schuerholz is the Braves' GM?

[/ QUOTE ]

hes low key in a 'he doesnt beat his wife', kinda way.

Good point. His team has only won the NL East, what, 42 years in a row? Maybe he should start beating his wife. Or at least mine.
