How many tournaments should I play?

I've always had an interest in MTT's but never had much luck. So I decided to pick up HoH 1 and 2 and after reading that, i've played about 25 tournaments, cashed in 8 and made 2 final tables.

I was wondering how many tournaments should I play before I have a good idea how my performance?
