AQs on button facing possible steal from big stack
UB $44 NLHE
Blinds 50/100, I have about 2500 left. Folded to CO, who is the largest stack at the table, top 5 overall at the time with about 6000. Last two orbits he had stolen the blinds, and this looked like a steal again (to me anyways). CO raises to 350, Hero ? What is my move here with AQs? Do I flat call and see a flop, or should I reraise here? Sorry if this is a noob ?, but I am kind of a noob at MTTs. Edit: Just checked HH, I had 3150 and CO had 5520. |

Re: AQs on button facing possible steal from big stack
Well, standard 2+2 line would be to bump to 1000, see what happens, be willing to call an All-in. But you could just call here. How do you feel about your post-flop skills?

Re: AQs on button facing possible steal from big stack
You didn't mention your position...so I don't know if you are on the button or in the blinds.
If you are on the button...the decision between calling and raising is pretty close, and depends more on how comfortable you are playing against this opponent postflop. The less comfort you have the more inclined you should be to reraise. In the small blind this is a definite reraise, and from the big blind it almost certainly is as well. Make your reraises big and don't fold if your opponent moves you in. Will |

Re: AQs on button facing possible steal from big stack
Well, I was on the button (see subject line). I reraised, he pushed, I called. Looks like the play was pretty standard. I thought it was but just wanted to make sure.
Thanks for the replies. Oh yeah, he had AA. Q on the flop and river and I suckout big time. |
